The first 2023 meeting of the European Group of Football Policing and NFIP experts took place in Stockholm on 16-17 of May under the auspices of the Swedish Presidency of the Council of the European Union.
Approximately 40 NFIP delegates attended the meeting, including guests from Council of Europe, Interpol, Europol, and UEFA. The agenda included important topics, like: adoption of EU related football policing documents, preparations for the international police cooperation for the EURO 2024, debriefing as regards the IPCC World Cup Qatar 2022, the annual threat assessment for the season 2021/2022, review of the preparations for the UEFA club competitions finals, EURO 2023 Under 21, Women’s FIFA World Cup 2023 New Zealand and Australia etc. The next meeting of the group will take place in Madrid in November 2023.
